STATEMENT OF FAITH
Jesus is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever!
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and will of
God.
Trinity - That God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are
Co-equal and eternal. That Jesus is begotten of the Father yet has co-existed
with the Father from the beginning. The Holy Spirit (Ghost) is the third person
of the trinity and proceeds forth from the Father and the Son.
Fall of Man - Man was created in the image of God. Man
through Adam's transgression (sin) fell and sin came into the world and the
control of the earth was transferred into Satan's hands until Christ Jesus came
and purchased it back.
Salvation - When a person is born again, he must first
realize that he has sinned against a Holy God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
When he genuinely feels remorse for his sins and feels the conviction of the
Holy Spirit upon his life, he must then repent from (turn completely away from all
known sin) and make Jesus Christ the Lord of his life (obey God's Holy Word).
He must die to self so that Jesus can live in him. From that point forward he
will be led by the Holy Spirit and will desire to follow after Jesus and become
more like him on a daily basis. This free gift of Salvation was given to man
from God through the sacrifice of Jesus at the cross of Calvary. The law shows
a sinner where he stands with the one true and Holy God and when a person
realizes that they have sinned against God, is given the opportunity to receive
grace (undeserved favor) through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works
acceptable to God. (Eph. 2:8) Our obedience to the Lord is evidence of our
salvation. (Luke 13:3, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Hebrews 5:9, 1 John 2:3-6, 1 John
3:1-6)
Water Baptism is being fully immersed in water signifying
burying the old man and raising up of the new man and is done only after being
born again. This shows that the believer is now dead to sin and alive to God
through faith in Christ. (Matt. 28:19, Rom. 6:4, Rom. 10:9,10, Col. 2:12)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit - John the Baptist stated in
Matthew 3:11 that Jesus would baptize us in the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and with
Fire. Acts 1:8 says "But ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has
come upon you..." This experience is always accompanied by the initial
evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. (Mark
16:17, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38 & 39) Tongues is speaking in a heavenly
language, one that we may or may not understand. Sometimes a person will speak
in another known language without ever having studied that language. That is
the Holy Spirit speaking through them for a purpose.
Sanctification - The Bible teaches that without Holiness no
man will see the Lord. We believe that the doctrine of sanctification is a
definite, yet progressive work of grace, starting at the time of conversion.
The new believer will put to death all that he knows to be sin against God and
begin to follow Jesus in obedience and faith. (1 Thess. 5:23, 2 Cor.
3:18) Then the Holy Spirit will do a mighty work changing the person's
character to be more like Jesus.
Divine Healing is for all, and healing is for physical,
mental and emotional ills. Healing is wrought by the power of God through the
Holy Spirit and by the Word of God. It is provided for in the Atonement of
Jesus Christ and is still happening today. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17, 1
Peter 2:24, James 5:14-20)
Vaccines - God's word is very specific about mingling
or mixing blood (animal with human). Vaccines are produced with animal tissue
and God warns us not to mix human blood with animal. The Bible teaches that
life is in the blood and that God's people are not to mix human biology with
animal. (Leviticus 17:14) The Bible tells us not to eat blood so it goes
without saying that we are not to pump animal blood "DNA" through our
bodies. The Bible teaches us that children are a gift from God (1 Tim. 5:8)
Some vaccines are produced also using aborted baby cells. To partake in
vaccines is to support the individuals and government's views that we no longer
have to have respect for the sanctity of life. We are the temple of the Holy
Spirit and we are not to defile it with chemicals, dead animal cells and or
aborted fetal cells. Therefore, we as a Christian Fellowship are opposed to any
kind of vaccination. This would violate God's law and, therefore, would be in
direct disobedience to His Holy Word. Whether to use vaccines or not is left up
to each persons own conviction.
Other Major doctrines of this Body include: Celebrating The
Lords Supper, Living Holy, Tithing (sowing and reaping), Deliverance (from
demonic oppression as well as demonic possession), Gifts of the Spirit,
Resurrection of the Just and the Unjust (the one to life and the other to
eternal damnation), Heaven (eternal home of those born again) Hell (eternal
home of those who reject Jesus), the Return of the Lord Jesus for His Bride
(church), Heavenly Angels (who do God's work) and Fallen Angels (those who
rebelled against God and followed Satan), New Heaven and Earth and the 1000
year millennial reign.
Ministry in the Fellowship - In order to minister in our
fellowship, one must meet certain obligations: a person must be in agreement
with our statement of faith (above), with the exception of section (9).
They must live a holy life and set a good example for others in the body of
believers. Anyone who remains in known sin (sin according to God's word)
will not be allowed to minister within the fellowship or hold any position
within the fellowship. However, we do encourage anyone who has not broken away
from sin to continue to come to church and learn more about Jesus and the Word
of God.
